As prelims syllabus for upsc and mpsc are almost same you can use all standard refferance books as mentioned in forum for prelims.Only topics related to history, geography, and panchayatraj of maharashtra have to be done seperately.
  • Thanks @Jack. I will buy State Board books tomorrow. Is Maharashtra Panchayat Raj and Maharashtra Geography covered in them well??

Your most welcome. As per my knowledge - history of maha- history book for std 11 th by state board, geo- geo class 9th. Panchayat raj- rajyashastra class 12th or11th one of these 2 please confirm. But you have to supplement them with some other sources if time permit.
  • @jack The bookstore guy suggested Kolambe Rajyaghatana ani prashashan as supplementary source for panchayat... I thought better to consult this forum.
  • @Drjanitor As laxmikant is undoubtbly best book for indian polity i'll suggest you to cover constitution and other aspects of indian polity from it. For panchayatraj in reffer. to maha.I think state board book will suffice. By the way havn't seen ranjan kolambes book but heard from frnds it is almost translation of laxmikant's book if so it will do job for you.
  • @jack Thanks buddy. So I'll start with relevant UPSC prelims books, then move to state board as per your suggestion. I don't think I'll have time for any other supplementary material thereafter. As for polity I have Laxmikant, so Kolambe is excluded for now as per your advice. Anyway we only have a month.
