4 year sitting idle !! Other career options?

Hi All ,
I resigned from my job in 2014( CS engineer) . Low chance of clearing prelims this year . Now what options do i have ?
Can MS be an option? or should i try to find a job directly based on my experience?

Try open market jobs as banks dont worry or if possible try returning to your previous field..how much you are scoring dont lose hope so early
  • You can go back to IT industry but it will be turbulent for 2-3 years. More work, less pay.
  • MS can be a good option and will provide necessary boost to your career but it involves money ( if planning ro do from foreign univ.), time (to prepare for GATE if planning to do from India). I have heARD IITSs provide good placement.

MS can certainly be an option.
  • Depends, if iit/top nit grad, immediately go back to the private sector, lots of opportunities, companies are scrambling for cs grads from top colleges.
If from local college, stick to govt jobs i.e.upsc,ssc, state etc.MS only if you have truckloads of money..

First of ol a big round of applause to your relatives and neighbours or may be you evolved thick skin.
Choose your back-up wisely it shall match your ability, offers exciting stuffs to remain busy and is promising both monetary as well as intellectually.A back up at this stage shall not be kamchalawu. It shall act as good substitute of upsc .
    Atb :)

  • agar ambitious aur hard working ho to govt job mat join karna, you will get frustrated. If you are laidback and just want peace then any govt job (SSC, PSU etc.) will work fine for you
