Maths , Mechanical engineering or PSIR ?

Hello guys
I am an aspirant taking first attempt in 2019 and I am confused about which optional to choose.I am a mechanical engineering graduate from a state govt college (~top NIT level college) and am good enough in it but the problem is the ridiculous amount of time that it will take to prepare mechanical .. is it worth the effort ? The other option I have is choosing maths which I was really good at even in engineering but it has been 2 years and hence will have to prepare from scratch .. the other one being PSIR which is the only one that interests me in humanities optionals. Please give pros and cons of these three optionals.

Thanks

  • My suggestion is to choose any humanities optional .this is sincere advise as myself has given with both mech as cse optional twice and maths as ifos optional once and tanked in both .so take histroy anthro or psir.mech which used to be highly scoring is not the same .maths requires very much practise so very time wasting during those crucial last days .last decsion is users but choose wisely and carefully with open mind .

Go for mechanical / maths . For once it will take some time , objectivity hai unlike Humanities optionals which get butchered every year more or less equally . Plus you'll have good backups with IES / IFoS / PSUs .
