It's not in absolute sense. But it is the 'most appropriate choice' here. See, when the constitution was made, it had the power to amend any article. Whatever limitations are put on it now are because of judicial interpretations from time to time.

The thought process going on in my head is
There are several amendment procedures of Indian constitution from simple majority to special majority which requires state's consent. Am I going wrong here?
No deep thinking when it comes to prelims. I understood why your thinking went in that way. but you should have also thought about this, an amendment could only be done by Parliament. Not state legislatures. So, where is the cooperative federalism here?

I have a doubt in this question because article 368 mentions that parliament can amend constitution by addition, variation or repealing ( except basic structure) but the solution here says that it is not allowed
