@ambitieux Hello, I had purchased rubik's cube by funskool as I used to feel fascinated everytime I saw one. Actually there are many methods and algorithms to solve a rubik's cube. As you are a starter , I recommend you to use Dan Brown's algorithms to solve rubik's cube. (I personally use his algorithms and now I can solve my cube within 3 minutes. Previously I used to take 15-20 minutes. Obviously I practised like crazy for few days) -- Algorithm is a step i.e. You think in a certain specified manner to arrange the cube and move the cube accordingly. It is algorithm. Watch/download these two videos of Dan Brown and practise live with your cube. This will clear your almost all concepts about the cube. (You may want to keep a pen and a paper handy in case you want to note down some or all algorithms. ) Keep trying. You will achieve a great speed when you keep trying and keep solving. Do such types of questions have any chance of being asked in the examination ? Seeing the previous year questions of csat , i do not think such types of complex questions will be asked . Although solving them will surely increase thinking capacity on a 3d scale .
@Bhai I don't think @ambitieux asked this query keeping CSAT question paper in mind. Solving a rubik's cube is just a fun or hobby for someone like me and others. Such questions are certainly not asked in CSAT. It does increase your mental ability and decision-making power though. Solving a rubik's cube can also be a hobby for some people. Activity that refreshes the mind.
@Bhai- Sheen is right .CSAT has no relation with my query.It is just that cube puzzle has been fascinating me from a long time ,so finally i decided to learn it.
