I'm actually glad you intervened @zohanmukharjee ... I would have added 'sir' here after your tag, given your pedigree on forum and India Bhai Telegram group and me being a novice here, but 'sir/madam' is a title I have decided to reserve only for authentic and truly rational people on Forum... The impeccable bests only... Please allow me to explain...
Let's get couple of things out of the way first...
- I commented in Hindi on UPPCS thread... Not on, say, Karnataka PCS thread or a secular participation thread... And if promoting English/Hinglish is a stated aim of Forum, it goes against spirit of Indian polity... हिंदी भारत की राजभाषा है और संविधान और राजभाषा अधिनियम 1963 इस बात के द्योतक हैं। And in a country where 33% vote share elects a complete majority, not promoting a language spoken by 65% of population isn't ethical... I openly commit that I'll keep writing comments in chaste hindi...
- Meaningful discussion: There are active threads on Forum about songs, movies, sher-o-shayari, sports, Bakar etc... And light-hearted virtual civic engagement is a part and parcel of any social media platform... So, please don't say things which are baseless...
Epilogue: you didn't heed the point I wanted to make in my original comment... I drove it home using absurdity, but nonetheless a valid point it was... This thread is infested with few people having multiple profiles who indulge in cheap thrills... Few weeks back I had a run in with one such person who came off as an extremely polite member from one profile and an obnoxious pest from another... So, now before commenting I have to peep into a person's history to figure out if he is genuine... Usually a few comments give it away but there's an added labour... So, I had a genuine grievance...
If you really want to make forum a better place ban IP instead of banning profile ID's... IP ban is a popular management tool used on much renowned forums like Reddit and Xossip... That way the issue of multiple profile can be handled... @zohanmukharjee
