  • Hello Friends
I need some guidance and suggestions from you.
I failed in prelims this year. My score was around 103.66-106 in general category. Now I am preparing for next year. Only thing which is bothering me right now is job insecurity. Thoughts keep on coming in my mind regarding what if I could not clear next time too. So, please suggest some back up plan or any other option to come out of this anxiety so that I can prepare with free mind. I will turn 26 at the end of this year.
My history is that I did graduation in Mechanical Engineering from IIT in 2015. After that I worked for 11 months in a Pharmaceutical company in supply chain department. I came to Delhi for preparation last year in July. Though I gave prelims in 2015 too which I could not clear because I didn't prepare for it. I didn't give in 2016 and failed in 2016. So practically it was my first attempt. I am applying on naukri.com also but am not able to find any job there. I had a CTC around 7.5 lakhs in previous job.
So please suggest a back up plan with reasonable remuneration. Should I prepare for SBI PO and other banking exams side by side as my CSAT is week and I might have failed in CSAT paper this time( attempted only 40 questions).
Moreover my optional is History( I didn't take mechanical as optional because I didn't study it properly in college) which is too vast. Moreover performance of History optional is not good these days. So anyone with history optional please share some foolproof strategies so that I can prepare it till December.

    Please help!!
    bhai yeh kaise
    result kya raha?
Nhi Hua yar, somewhere near border screwed I think :( rtv constitutional, ivc 1onkt, cabinet speedy
  • Never imagined once that I ll be kicked out in pre itself. Worst feeling it was.. I don't know people who fail back to back in prelims like I saw one person rishi woh failed 4 pre back to back. How they get that energy to restart everything again. N m not worried more about my failure this year. M worried about starting it again what if upsc served the same shit next year. Kahan jaake roenge. Bc prime time mein aone life yahan invest Kar Rahe h or unko kadar bhi nhi
  • पसीने की स्याही से जो लिखते है इरादों को, उनके मुकद्दर के सफ़ेद पन्ने कभी कोरे नही होते B)
  • Bro prepare for ibps po exam which is going to be held in oct/nov if you want job security (till next year prelims you will be having job if you cleared)
  • @Hesinberg if finance is really an issue.u can apply for faculty post in it coaching.they give good perks :) atb.or else if ur mtech then any university Amity etc can easily hier u.
  • Bhai it would be better you give all other bank exam as they are speedy in recruitment and alongside do revise so that you would not forget civils syllabus.
  • @heisenberg2017 i cant believe ur version..IIT'IANS are considered most intelligent..now u r saying that u not qualified and having difficulty in seeking job...no no no something is wrong...i feel u didnt kept ur complete energy in upsc or in job searching...

Reveal ur bio completely..definitely u will get job within days
  • I advise u 2 strategies...leave upsc work 2 yrs and earn money and comeback sit for 2- 3 yrs and give good attempt.
    Choose a job with least

What position wd they offr? Not the faculty position for sure. Since they remain insecure abt u leaving them soon in lieu of ur prep or selection. Isnt it?
Correct me if i m wrong!
