To make upsc a level playing platform CSAT should be brought back. Engineers form one of the biggest chunk of this examination and their demands are often neglected because often then not they are mute spectators. If English is really such a big problem for some people then at least math could be brought into the main stream.

Ye to hone se raha ab ! Kali chamdi wale gore (tongressi) sarkar me aave to, ho sake hai ! leking vo bhi hone se raha ab.
previous pattern wherein GS paper includes aptitude questions was much better. I feel CSAT should have been scrapped altogether instead of making it qualifying which I feel is total waste of time. Making 10-15 aptitude questions a part of GS could be a win-win situation for all.
I got a better idea...include aptitude questions itself in GS 1 and increase the number of questions to 150 or maybe by a stretch to 200...more questions in GS would reduce luck dependancy and at the same time would not remove aptitude paper ...maybe they give as less as 25 questions only for aptitude , a form which was present in optional in pre era

Wat say? What could be drawbacks in this?

Bhai idea to sahi hai, lekin pata hai- 66 lane me bhi kayion ke haath paanv fool jave hai ! kasam se ! Humara to ek hi sapna hai sala paper 2 itna tough kar do sala ye anti-CSAT junta ka 66 na aa pave, bhale hi paper 1 me 150 aa jave.
