ok .. Let me tell what i feel about UPSC.. Please read only if interested..
1)UPSC doesnot want any junk coming into the system..last 2 year candidates wer junk as they simply were daily 10 hr study candidates ..no core but just memorizing govt schemes candidates etc
2)UPSC wanted to get the cut off s down .. v down..probably get it down by 30 marks (by the look of it) UPSC wanted to be sure of this .. so the paper had atleast 80 questions where the options were too close and so the candidate will be in check if not at one que .. probably in the next questions.
3) UPSC set a paper this time such that no que can be found in google directly.. in some sensitive areas there were some issues last time of malpractice..many people from a single state qualifying prelims..to eliminate this
4)UPSC wanted to eliminate all candidates who read pt365 kind of things and came to exam by just reading 2 months and to be sure set a paper 2 such that..a candidate who is not so serious will leave the paper 2 exam in the middle of he is not so serious to pass the exam.. if u see paper 2 some of the ques were simple but the look was v dfklt.. only if u dive into the ques..that is wanting to do somethng to pass the paper..
5)It wanted to give a clear message for people just lying around year by year just by preparing for civils not to waste their time here..prepare for State PSC s and other exams..if u luk at the questions this time like chandipur motupalli Ajanta..these were from State PSC s .. And also wanted non serious candidates who dont understand concept and just mug up few things and come to exam to stop and be serious or look into other career options
6)This time no option elimination no simple techniques no easy throw aways anywhere in the paper and the paper was just knowledge based to check the understanding of the candidate rather than how much he knew about what.. so the people who are the top will be the cream .. he may give chance to additional candidates to prove in mains..only a presumption.
I dont know how much of this is correct..but i think this makes sense after lukng at the paper.
I agree!! you sound like an activist
But still against all odds. . the great indian youth btr than german youth in times of hitler will break UPSC s head by beating the cut off s and reaching 105 at any cost lol lmao.. What ever happens in this world..even tsunami may come..the cut off is always 105-110 in a civils paper.. no matter what accrdng to every1 here ROFL
See yaar its not like that people do not want to see low cut off but after last year no one has the guts to do so. I have been here in 2015 we were expecting 98-102 cut off came 107. last year we were expecting 108-110 cut off came 116. Thats why you see the behavioral change. Even this year 100 below sounds optimistic to us.
So its just a mental block u say to predict exact cut off for this paper this time?
my current position says that we cant predict cut off. Better than predicting we can visit Vashnao Devi and ask for us to paas. We dont have all the variables to determine cut off. Let alone variables we dont have our own exact marks. I say we fall back to what we Indians are best at 'fatalism'.
@focus dude dont argue over reservation here. Its futile discussion. It's all about which side of the line one is standing. Those benifited from it will never accept its wrong and will always try to legitimize it. Those who suffer from it will always be against it.
As for me reservation as a system itself is such a shame on the face of whole nation. It was justifiable in 20th century, but this age and day 50% reservation is simply a shame. I never see any kind of discrimination in my whole life on the basis of caste, never exersized it and never suffered it untill now. I am for sure now vitnessing discrimination on the basis of caste and it is no brainer who is suffering from it, haha urs truly historically priviledged general caste.
Dekho bache, ye sab ke faaltu discussions mein mat fanso. It is a foregone conclusion that it will stay. Just focus that 450/900 fellows still do it every year. aim to be among them. I have alwways observed that Reservation is often the last refuge to mask one's incompetency of millions of fellows in India.don't be among them.
jeete raho!
apni incompetency mat chupao but jo galat h use galat bolne ki shiddat bhi rakhni chahiye..
bache, ab tum mujhe hi incompetent kah rahe ho! I am only advocating what is true- I am not getting into right or wrong.
Just google positive discrimination and look up the number of (even so called first world) countries where this system is there. And you know what, hardly you would find any whites in USA who would rant against Blacks for getting advantage over them- be it in getting admission in university admission or jobs. but look in India, My friend who has never got even gathered a prelims score to pass ST category cut-off in his last 3 attempts is often the loudest opponent of reservation and bad-mouthing the reserved categories in most derogatory manner- all in name of equality and fair play. I shudder to even think what he will do when he does gets chance to serve as a civil servant in case.
I agree that there have been (and continue to be) misuses by a handful of not-so-deserving people but is it the only premise to finish it off. So should vehicles be banned from tomorrow as they invariably cause accidents (killing 1.5 lac annually in India?). And where are our leaders- this government being one of Brahmin and baniyas (not intending to offend anyone but let truth be told) was the best suited to do some reforms to the system but what have they done in last 3 years? Will you bad-mouth the supreme leader as well for his inaction?
You have not seen or witnessed any caste discrimination since you might be living in one of the metros or simply have shut your eyes. just google "caste violence", "anti-dalit violence", "anti-tribal", etc and you will have your virtual cataract removed- if you cant afford to take a rural tour of the hinterland of the country to gather 1st hand experience about the reality that how deep caste identity is so entrenched in psyche of Indians and caste oppression just a time-pass for millions.
PS- I belong to so called forward category but I am not against reservation as a principle.
Maine jaldi jaldi mein NSDC dekh ke D kar diya tha. A has traditional channels mentioned in it, it fits better.
See bache. A suits it , I agree. But given that It has been subsumed under NSDF later and that RPL indeed is awarded under NSDF, the case for 4th option stays strong as well. Also, RPL is not available ONLY for construction workers at present; hence it does makes the case for option A lil weaker which focusses only on construction workers.
UPSC has been more wholistic in its approach as per trends.
Maybe UPSC was checking to weed out those rot-parrots who would have ticked A in one glance?!
jeete raho!
True.
But if the latter logic stands, then the answer for National Career Service will be D, because it is not ONLY for uneducated youth.
I hope you're correct, because in that case, 2 of my answers become correct.
Rpl ka A hoga ..rpl about recognising informal learning(although I marked d which is 100% wrong) Ncs ka muje be D lag rha h...
bhaii..rpl z even for i.T.i...u can check nsci site..I.T.I z not traditional na...des r all updated ones..: rpl ka D hi hoga.....Bhai d option ke andar a option aata hai....upsc goes by general view to....d hi shi hai....ncs mein to confusionva hai....lekin humhe 2 only jyada shi laga kyoki upsc chooses neither option only when both options are entirely wrong....
