Every year UPSC has a capacity to correct mains papers of around 15000 people.. So this time there were lesser posts.. But is there any rule that UPSC has to take only 14000 this year coz of less posts just because It can select only 1000 this year? No right.. Same number of people can be selected this time just as last year but top ones will go through to interview.. Why is this not a possibility ? anyone?

welcome back shailu....upsc ko shaukh nhi hai itni copy check karne.....prelims mein 13 times liya jata hai total posts ke according and 3 times in mains .....
For same no. of intake and same no. of total marks, the cut off for 2014 would've been 225+ , decrease hota but reasonable decrease hota, and shand decrease nahi hota
20 marks (15 marksmof English passes full aate+5 marks less due to 2000 intkae)..waha re kejri waha...phir bhi 16 marks ka dip..is bar aada sip kar to ..8 marks falll...109-9....101 cut off ..ab kush rho
116-8= 108 kejri range
2016 ka paper spcs ki tarah tha...single line answer..mostly current affair ..maximum question to vision current affairs se aa gaye the..
This year also, single line straight questions from Polity Laxmikanth, economy.. hence not much difference... Am also scared, because getting just 114.. I pray ki cut off km Jaye, but doesn't seem so.. many of my friends in 125+ range.
