Which is better Forestry or Geology as optional for IFoS exam ?

I am bit confused related to what to opt as 2nd choice optional among forestry and geology. I have done B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and studied little bit of Geology as semester course and have no prior idea about forestry. It would be very kind if someone could elaborate on pros and cons of both the subjects.

Go with geology, as you know bit of it. That's only plus point you have. Another point is availability of study material.

  • Forestry. Geology is difficult bro,too technical, especially paper 2. Better check previous year geology papers and match the similarities with civil engineering before opting it.
  • I done my graduation Bsc geographic with geology and statistics as subsidiaries for first two years. my confusion is iam I eligible for ifos or not?
