I belong to remote area. What to do if bank manager denies to open a bank account saying bank will not be benefitted by maintaining student's account?
Sbi opens a Savings a/c for zero balance.No need to open a student a/c with them. Other banks open a student's(zero balance) a/c which comes with certain debit/credit limitations.
In any case,they cannt deny you the service.Even the so called service area approach is over wherein branches catered only to people belonging to nearby area.
In case of SBI,complain in cms or sms unhappy.Also,all banks have grievance redressal hierarchy which normally starts with the AGM.If the bank fails to sooth you,go for ombudsman.
Tell the bank manager to give this in writing.If he doesn't ,mail him on his branch Id questioning why he is not opening your a/c.This will be a proof.Also tell him to give you AGM's ID and grievance redressal hierarchy.Ask him if he knows BCSBI rules under which he can be punished and penalized for denying you the service on unjust grounds. You can also mail the cmd...Just cc to AGM,DGM of the region and branch manager. Tum uski 100 tarah se le sakte ho....But thoda pareshaan hona padega or time Dena hoga.
@Progeny said correct @JohnPaul ... please take this in writing ... m sure he won't give this writing ... Further in case the bank is SBI then u can write to cmd directly .. it's my personal experience as ex staff and as a customer .. m sure that they will Address ur grievance at the earliest ..
