Subtropical zone is between 23.5degree N and 40degree N and Temperate zone is between 23.5degree to 66.5 degree.

  • In climatology we can take the following demarcation of belts:
    0 to 10 = Equatorial belt
    10 to 30 = Tropical belt
30 to 45 = Subtropical (or warm temperate) belt
45 to 60 = Temperate (or cool temperate) belt
    60 to 75 = Subpolar belt
    75 to 90 = Polar belt
