Electrical Engineering Optional : Discussion/ Books and Strategy/ Planning/ Answer Writing

edited December 2016 in Engineering
Calling out people opting for Electrical Engineering as optional.

As we know syllabus is huge and complex, let's share our plans to help each other devise a strategy best suited to complete/revise/re revise the syllabus on time.

Also let's put up UPSC type questions daily/weekly based on topics we decide among ourselves (eg we can begin with simple subjects like circuit theory, signals & systems, for first week). Let's solve them and post them on this thread to cross check the answers and suggest improvements.

Regular revision and practice will leave no room for mistakes.

So let's get started.

Comments

  • I'm an electrical engineer so would like to start with the electrical topics. I've started with circuit analysis.
Do we make an outline with targets or shall we just go topic wise?
  • Thats cool for me.
Lets make totally personalized target for each topic.

6-12 Dec for totally completing circuit theory seems fine to me - as in revising all formulas and theory and other stuff.

Here we can practise answer writing from precious year upsc question paper topic. We can also discuss doubts.
We can cross check our answer and improve the way we write.

    is that okay ?
  • Yes, that would be good. PYQ papers solutions are not available so it would help if we can cross check our answers. We can start posting the solutions as n when we complete the topic.
  • Ya exactly. :)
  • Any one aware of test series of Electrical Engg in Delhi..

year after year i have worked hard and prepared all the syllabus. but here i am now after so al this hard wrk i am hardly able to score 220-230/- performed hug mistakes in paper-1. ppl plzz share ur exp. how was paper for u/.?/ how much u r expecting in electrical. is 220 a good score for selection if ur other paper are good.??
  • @electric...that depends on remaining GS Marks...but if u get around 220 then u might fall in just above cut off region..but never loose hope..keep ur finger cross and hope for the best..
    ..
  • Depends on ur category, if u are a reserved candidate may get a call,
  • After 4th attempt u finding it difficult, either are they making it more difficult every year or one more possibility is there that given huge syllabus of electrical engineering very less gap to see it at a glance creating difficulty
  • In 2014 i scored 228 gave interview but coulnt make it , 2015 pt was a failure, this time i attempted with physics n hoping around 260 70 easily as could revide it 3 times than ee
