It is not humanly possible to follow conventional "Be Prepared" motto as far as UPSC Mains is concerned..! Instead, I would suggest, "Be Present". Don't think abt future (What If I fail) and Don't think about past (How I wasted the precious time and all the crap). Be present in this world. Revision helps. More than that, Presence of mind helps.
