We have a dozen threads discussing marks already. This isn't meant to be just about marks. This is specifically for people who have appeared in two or more CSMs and failed to qualify. Let's try and spot trends in our scores and spot weakness. At the end, kindly post your SWOT analysis.
dada, i feel its best to rope in few toppers and ask them what they actually wrote in every question of gs papers. We can discuss question by question. I remember gaurav had uploaded his answers, by which many could judge their answers and mistakes.

Optional main 180 last year jitna hi score . Ethics bouncer laga , exam hall main Hi andhera chha gaya tha -75 marks .

(i) Indian language marks are way higher than English, even though my entire schooling has been in English medium. I'm prone to writing sentences that are too long and complicated. I guess, some of them are ending up not making sense due to some inadvertent error because I'm not getting the time to revise them well. Or maybe they're too complicated and jargonated to be of 'generalist' value. This could also be because of bad English handwriting, which is certainly a problem for me.
(ii) Essay marks remain mediocre. I have a tendency of writing reflective essays. I use bullet points. I avoid examples, facts and figures. My points are possibly too average.
(iii) GS 1 has held more-or-less steady. But scores are too mediocre to pass mains.
(iv) GS 2 has worsened. This I can excuse as it was a pretty rough day. But scores are too mediocre to pass mains.
(v) GS 3 has improved. But scores are too mediocre to pass mains.
(vi) GS 4 has dropped significantly. This seems to be a general trend this year. But scores are too mediocre to pass mains.
(vii) Optional P1 has been borderline mediocre this year, in spite of marginal improvement. Need a lot more work.
(viii) Optional P2 has been almost as pathetic this year as last year, in spite of marginal improvement. Need a lot more work here. This is proving to be a part of my Achilles heel.
(ix) GS+Essay as a whole has fallen by a whopping 80 marks. This part is killing me. It's a part of my Achilles heel.
(x) MS is a scoring optional. My scores have improved marginally but I'm still below 200. This is unacceptably poor.

Weakness - GS+Essay as a whole
Opportunities - GS 1, GS 3, GS 4, Essay, Med. Sc as a whole.

SWOT twice. First immediately after the exam before the marks are revealed and forget about it. Then repeat after getting marks. The latter is akin to a witch-hunt, deliberately finding flaws where there may exist none, generally. Work on both lists. Focus on the former though.
