Byju's Crash course -- a huge disappointment

Hi ,

I had joined byju's crash course for Current affairs . At the time of joining the course , i had enquired their representative about how they would cover 2 months current affairs in 2.5 hours .He told me that their vastly experienced faculty know what is imp. for prelims and not all news covered in newspaper are important . Still i joined the program hoping that their notes would help me in revision .

In their 2nd lecture (1st lecture was about the Strategy and sources for prelims --full of boasting ) held on 7th April,2016 ,they discussed only 5 topics as current affairs and forward/Backward linkages . I somehow accepted that as my main concern was their notes . But the notes they have sent are HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT . They have sent poorly drafted (actually poorly copy pasted) current affairs of 122 pages for August 2015 and 112 pages for September 2015 .The pdf is full of ball by ball commentary of petty issues (mostly a serious candidate won't ever look in the newspaper ) , making it of mammoth 110+ pages . Now my simple question to @BYJUs is ,how can you even expect your students to study 112*12 =1344 pages of current affairs notes (full of garbage) . The aim of a coaching institute should be to help reduce the burden of their students , not overburden them with worthless notes .If i have to study 1400 pages of current affairs with No analysis and no Forward/backward linkages but pure copy paste of facts from the newspapers , then i shouldn't be paying you any money .(Thank God , i didn't fall into your trap of convincing my friends to join in order to avail discount ,otherwise my condition would have been pathetic because of guilt of this SIN )

I am highly disappointed by your notes and request you to send something worth studying . If possible , kindly refund my money .

u r looted my friend it was just a sham/illusion to trap non serious students by luring them grapes of crash course.any serious player knows that 2 months current affairs cant be completed in 2 hours utube video..better u should have studied vision ca

totally agree with what u r saying. covering just 5-6 topics for 2 months is making a mockery of current affairs. n the booklets they sent are a joke, just copy paste of all news (both important and useless), without any forward/backward linkages. if their notes would have followed the same format as their video then it would have been of at least some use. just hope that they at least cover india year book properly.

is the vision ias ca material also useful for prelims? i know it is good for mains, but is it also good for prelims?

Before investing money in any notes, first of all one should see photocopy of those notes in Delhi ( orn/mn) , OR...
Xaam.in provides photocopies of these notes....notes may b seen here for out of NCR region people.
