Maps are of 50 marks in history optional. with good strategy 35 to 40 marks are easily achievable. it is a huge advantage compare to other subjects. So, always work hard in maps.
besides, there is another trick. As per our paper style, section 2 is from medieval India which quite easy and straight forwpard in context of our exam. So, if you can work hard in it and answer 3 questions from it, it will save lots of hard work.
It means, you answer Q 5 ( which is compulsory ) and 2 more questions from section 2 ( medieval India ). You have worked hard for maps, so you will answer Q 1 ( which is maps, compulsory, ancient India ). Now you have to answer just 1 more question from whole paper and that would be from section 1 = ancient India. Now, 1 big questions contains 3 sub questions of 15, 15, 20 marks. we assume, due to lack of time, most of us would skip at least one question. In sort all your ancient India study is just for 2 questions of 15 marks, approx.
ps : I recommend this strategy as last minute stress buster. If you have time, prepare everything.
