Where ever I go, whom so ever I meet, has been suggesting that Paper IV (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude) is very general in nature. If this is so, then why aren't we getting marks. I must re-phrase my self, majority of us are getting stuck to the marks band of 80s-90s while a few are being able to score in 140s. Why so??? Now, what to do and especially what to read???
He is rank-36... and he has a point to make... after following his tips with my own version added to it since a month i think i am in the right direction..... no fat books of ethics with classic definations are needed.... its within us... ponder on it.. meditate on it... obviously notes and materials are the guidance to show the direction...
also try to solve past three year upsc question paper and then you can face the heat from compiled question of last year by insightias....
Paper is indeed general in the sense that almost anybody can write something in the paper. But therein lies the catch that how to differentiate so as to Secure 120+ instead of being stuck in the middle of bell curve. This is the part where I'm too struggling and direction from others on this topic would be much appreciated.

Exactly, infact the link shared by #INSAS is just the same old story, a candidate who has secured a decent score but actually is not sure of the recipe... The examples quoted by him (at least majority of them) are hardly possible for a candidate with no background in the field (family or peer group) to know about... So what about people like us???
As we all know answer writing and presentation is the key in this paper. So i have one thing in mind we could help us all. Whatever book, pdf you are referring, it must be having question at the end of unit/chapter. We can put here all those question in pdf or word file topic wise or as you want. In this way everybody will get more and more question to practice, fir to jhakk marke improvement aaega hi. I'm referring Arihant's book, i will post all the question given in the book tomorrow. Others who are referring lexicon, subbarao and what not please contribute here
I'm doing Arihant's book and found it very good except few topics. There are numerous case studies, good 10-12 question after every unit. And it is designed as per syllabus of GS-4. So you can refer it
