my friend is working in central bank of india as scale 1 officer. promotion exam by ibps is scheduled on 6th march. those already in banking sector with knowledge of this process, kindly guide about - 1.scheme and pattern of exam ? 2. sources and study materials for preparing fr this exam. 3. any other useful guidance or tips
Pattern will be objective only - and no negative marking and it may depend on bank to bank -
Usually for bank promotion exams the respective staff training colleges prepare material for promotional training. That will be sufficient- and further to it add the material given to you in ur initial training and if JAIIB ,CAIIB books.Exam can be easily attempted by anyone who has minimum banking knowledge with little bit clarity on theoretical concept.
IN PSU banks the promotion - though on paper depends upon merit - Recommendations of your respective zonal/ head of the regional area carries much weight in preparation of final list along with other formality recommendations to interview panel...
