All I Wanted to Say about UPSC/IAS

edited June 2013 in Miscellaneous
Hi Guys,

With preparation up-swing for Mains, it is important that we keep ourselves motivated and don't lose sight mid-way (as the preparation for the exam tends to go on for a considerable long period of time). I wanted to start a thread where some of us (both aspirants and seniors who have successfully cleared the exam) can share some great examples, some good learning here and there. Maybe I can start by sharing what I feel.

I am a working professional. I come back home in the night but I still feel overjoyed with the preparation I am going through. I have prepared for many exams but never felt this good, never felt this eager to go back to books. It has brought new dimensions to my personality, I now see things not in a way 'Arnab Goswami (Times Now)' will see things. I evaluate pros and cons - I don;t react with aggression on topics related to nation and politics. I try figuring out why a particular thing is not getting implemented.

I have a new found respect for our country - as an when I read some of the initiatives - our administrators are taking - reading about the past of the country. I am observing a depth in my personality - which cannot be expressed in words.

I pass or fail - get in or not - I will always cherish days of my preparation as it is always said - 'No-one preparing for UPSC is a loser - they all gain something or the other in the end'

Others as well, please feel free to share your excitement/angst/anger/frustration and just say all you want to talk about UPSC.

Thanks,
Dulali
