Guys.. There was no discussion thread for discussing performance of psychology in mains this year. So created one.. Please post your expected score along with last year's score in brackets..
Last year attempt - ( both papers included) Good answers ~ 200-220 Satisfactory ~ 180-200 Vague ~90
This year.. Good answers~ 240-250 Satisfactory ~150-160 Vague ~ 85 Not attempted / wrong ~15
Last year- I expected low in paper 1 but it seems to be upscaled. Many got around 240s in psy. Tat seems to be average score. Top scores were in 280s.
sèems to be a good score.. 1)can u plz tell us the strategy to score good marks 2) which books r u following?esp for paper 2 3 which test series? 4) writing practice ? TIA
I have got mediocre marks. Refer blog of prabhav Joshi for scoring good marks(2013 air-23) In general, use research studies, examples, theories and diagrams (wherever applicable) in your answers, esp paper2. Try to cover whole syllabus and study important chapters in depth.
Test and writing practice
Couldn't take up test series this year. So, I tried to recollect relevant points for each topic in the syllabus. But taking tests would definitely be helpful. MP sir tests are good.

1. I started with MP sir written notes. Topics are well covered and are according to syllabus. 2. Then, referred ncerts and Baron. 3. Captured only important points from MP sir printed notes, smarak swain and made note of them at relevant chapters in written notes. 4. Internet surfing for some topics. 5. Paper 2 needs integrated approach. Make list of some 50 to 100 most important words. Apply concepts of paper 1 and use more examples.. I prefer to attempt more from chapters that are not vague (IDs, disorders, education, rehabilitation etc)
