@Etat Why and who banned @K9 ? You can please go through my comment history, I do not get into any useless discussion, but would like to state that merely bringing a thread up can not be considered as a crime or against rules of the forum. Please unban him, I have exam in a few days, so cant get into any argument over this. Please check his comment history once.
Thanks.
PS: do not ban me now for this. If you do, well, you will miss my presence at Ethics thread *not boasting :P*
UNBANNED
I am one amongst dozens with banning powers. How ethical is it to assume that everything that happens on this forum is my doing?
cause aami knows only you. Isliye bulaya, dekhne waste, ki kon kiya ... aisa. Sorry
Why was I banned? Whichever mod that was please come out of your cave give me one good reason. Was it because I didn't toe your line? Or because I didn't respect forum rules by questioning them? Why did you close that 2015 intolerance thread? Your intolerance is astonishingly conspicous.
Mod Note: when threads are getting closed on a provocative topic you're trying to bring up the debate again by reviving old threads as a disrespect to our actions which goes against the rules..that's why an act of deterrence had to be performed...no one is hiding in cave..we are bold enough to handle things
There were some poorly worded comments crossing that fine line between being critical and being abusive. But those users should have been warned or even banned if necessary. Closing down an entire thread just because some users flagged it for telling the other side of the intolerance story is a bit harsh. It goes against pluralism, free speech and word of the year TOLERANCE.
While other religion and communities can be discussed freely anywhere, this is the only place where we can critically examine the orthodoxy in Islam without any threat to our lives and without inciting any violence.

exaclty...the moderators must not overstep...closing down a thread is outside the limits of moderation..their job is to ban users.
Moderators ko football banao aur khelo..mai goal keeper banungaa agar koi mods..slip through karke bhagne ki koshish karega to mai pkad kar fir kick maar ke center ki taraf uchhal dungaa
This mod seriously needs to invest in specsavers. I never "revived" intolerance 2015 thread. Before me, johnphilip had already posted a comment today itself a few minutes before me. So again, you are factually incorrect. Anyway, are you some sort of king that I have an obligation to respect your actions? You are just another nobody hiding behind your computer screen who happens to be a moderator because people of the forum made you so. Don't get too cocky and ahead of yourself. Closing down the threads in ethically incorrect, that is what we were trying to establish here. For that matter, if I gave an example of a thread where people argued without getting offended, what is wrong with that? I am assuming you blame charlie hebdo for his killing because he didn't respect another communtiy? You blame Van gogh and ayaan hirsi Ali for speaking out because communal harmony on false notions is all that matters to you, init? Then I guess with that line of reasoning you can't possibly blame killers of rationalists like dabholkar and kalburgi because they "hurt sentiments of a community thereby defaming it". Your arguments are self defeating.
Direct just 1/10th of this "revolutionary" zeal towards UPSC so that at least we may get to see our mains answer sheets to understand where we went wrong.
Freedom of speech ka matlab ye nahi ki utha k gaali dedo kisiko. Us thread pe pura padhte toh ek rationale insaan yehi bolta ki in logo ko upsc kya saala job hi mat do.
