Kindly also guide regarding mains test series. I am confused between Vision and GS Score. If any one has personal experience at either of these institutes that would be really helpful. Please guide which one would be better as far as evaluation, doubt clearing, feedback and discussion classes are concerned
abe sharing karwa lo Vision ya fir GS Score ka..last year kisi nek bande ne sharing ki thi sabko 500Rs ka pada tha..koi agar join kar lya ho Vision Mains/GSScore to bta dena agar share karna chahta ho..
Questions : Abstract, analytical, demanded understanding of broader situations, more like upsc 2014 paper, Ethics theory questions were very abstract but then UPSC too ask such, Ethics case studies demanded situation resolving rather than resolving dilemmma, UPSC surprisingly asked on similar line in 2015.
Checking and Marking style: Good checking in initial few tests (especially before prelims), had enough comment to identify mistakes and improve; later degraded; since October it was more like average marking and no relevant comment. Marking are little harsh in some papers which is not best practice.
Test Discussion: Average in most of papers, good in only few.
Individual interaction with teacher: If one is looking for this, GSScore is good. Provided you get maximum out of teachers before prelims only. After prelims they will be busy.
I suggest go for vision. As a person who attended both the series i can give you an objective opinion.
Vision : Q's are good, analytical. So keep one alert about current news. Feedback is good. Some say it is done by senior aspirants rather than teachers. I honestly don't know and also don't care. Because more important than some third person feedback is ones own analysis after the correction is over.
Gsscore : Q's are ok. hints are brief but comprehensive. But i find the feedback grossly insufficient. They just point out the mistakes and missing points. No suggestions on how to improve the writing style given. But this is regarding their online series. I dont know how direct interaction will be.
Bhai dono hi program ache h GSScore ka hit ratio mains k lye kafi acha h (is sal almost gs2 and gs3 k ques uske test series aur compilations se aye the)last year bhi GS2 se question hit kar gaye the iske material se..Vision Practice purpose aur uska value addition kafi acha hota h maine bhi dono join kiya tha Vision on sharing basis and GSScore purchase kiya tha..agar ho sake to share karwa lo dono programs.
I suggest Vision Questions- are good as per upsc standards. even the length of each question and whole paper is as per UPSC. Checking- Very good. may be harsh sometimes but its only test. comment:- each checker writes important comments on each question. rarely they will write Refer Model answer. mostly they will themselves write more points. overall comments about handwriting, intro, conclusion, figures, etc are written on first page. these are general comments. Online papers uploaded along with best copy which you can refer and compare.
no use of sharing the cost because papers you'll get at photocopy stores. important thing is that the comments are useful to you. also it improved my writing speed.
Thanks for your views everyone...pls guide regarding whether one should join these test series from January or should go for them after prelims only...what would be better?
Bhai if u r done with everything pls join otherwise join after pre..last year i joined 25 test series starting from 21st december and gave only 4 before prelims..still 5 is left..so i will suggest u not to join more than 20 tests module..join max 15 tests and that too after pre..
