I would suggest geo if choice is between pub ad & geo.. Geo is scientific, so you should b comfortable with science..
Also geo paper setter & coaching centres whose material you might refer, will be graduates in geography or studied geo as their optional..
With pub ad-mostly teachers are political science graduates or post graduates, as very few university have graduation in pub ad, now few university have started , but when pub ad paper setters passed, there was hardly any..they passed in political science & teaching pub ad..
So result is that after covering as per syllabus , you will miss few things from political science material..as you can see from pub ad paper of 2014 & 2012 mains..many questions were from political science material of MA Ignou..
So if you want to do pub ad, especially without coaching, be ready to cover political science syllabus also
