I did whitener in 2012 exam.My answer sheet wasnt invalidated/rejected and i did get a marksheet. However this year whitener was strictly prohibited by one of invigilator,quoting him telling some other guy "Your answer sheet will be rejected if you use whitener."So the conclusion stands, you cant predict strange ways of UPSC.
