I am not sure which category to put this discussion in, so I put it in General. I notice that even very small websites and groups on Facebook has over thousands of likes. But forumias is having less than 400 likes?
What can be the reason behind it? @root , is there any technical reason (I saw the Like us on Facebook at the bottom of the page only recently.) or @members is there just lack of interest or effort in Liking the page in forumias?
Well I don't have a facebook account anymore so i can't like the page
But regarding your comparison to other pages I think the reason those pages have so many likes is that "Every single time anyone visits their website they beg for likes in the form of popups and other fancy begging tools, i mean its simply irritating sometimes"
But on the contrary Forumias.com doesn't beg for likes from us, they simply provide a nice forum for aspirants to the best of their abilities... Nothing more, Nothing Less,,,
I dont think number of likes matter. Definitely not a parameter of success.
But yes, helps in publicity though.

about the likes... maybe many people dont know about forumias facebook page... many aspirants also stop using facebook during there preparation so those can be the reasons but still likes doesnt matter, does it?
Saw a pop-up a week before while accessing forumias, stating please like in our facebook profile and win material of your choice something like that . Was it a prank or not , I'm not sure . Definitely some moderators still believe in "like" , thats true
true, the no. of 'Likes' is not a measure of quality, but surely it is matter of popularity! So far I think not many people are aware of this forum. Any official word?

Absolutely! In today's Facebook era we tend to judge success on the basis of 'likes' & 'dislikes'. Being in the limelight does not always reflect invaluableness. But if people would like to see the magic number, they may recommend the website to as many friends & foes as possible
