How to keep performance upto-the-mark in last month?

Hey Friends,

I have been preparing well for Prelims and have covered syllabus properly, solved MCQs and is revising now.

But, Now a days I'm not able to give my 100% efforts.

I sleep for 7-8 hours but still feel exhausted and tensed all time.
Have developed escapism nature i.e. will try to avoid studies wherever/however possible.
Now a days I'm having "Ho Jayega", "kar lenge" attitude and end up studying/revising very less on any particular day.
And most of time, i could not concentrate while studying as would keep on skipping content here and there (and hence end up missing imp info).

I just feel like running away and doesn't want to perform.

Note: I have no family/personal issues, no job/life insecurity etc. I have prepared well till now, can recall most content/syllabus properly after 1 or 2 revision, so there is no issue like syllabus is remaining or lots of syllabus needs to be covered etc.

All i want is to revise properly, spend ample time in each portion of syllabus... so that i can accumulate/consolidate most of information and can perform well in prelims.

Do you guys also suffer from any of above situations/problems? Is it natural? How do you overcome it?

What are your tips/hacks to give your best in last 15-20 days? :-)

Please suggest, otherwise my sincere preparation since last months is going to suffer. :-(

  • Yeah, i did last year. I had a casual and optimistic approach. I had also this thing 'kar lenge, ho jayega'.

To me, its better than ' fatt rai hain, fail ho jaunga'.

You will do great. Just b consistent and keep revising and cut short your distractions.

    Good luck. :)
  • Consistent study is the key.
If u prepared well then no need to worry.u will do well.I never prepared seriously during last days, except for last year's mains in which I failed.so just chill, take things lightly and if u have spare time then prepare for mains.
Jo hona hoga ho karr rahega, niyiti ko koi rok nahi sakta
  • If u have sincerely prepared in the last 10 months then its no need to wory about ur preparation level.... I personaly think that in last 15 days there is no need to study more then 6 hours...people say that one should revise 10 times a day before 20 days of prelims i personely belive that only first reading is revision and next 9 are just fast reading juat for the sake of following the so called 10 times revision strategy.....
If i would suggest something it would be that
1- revise all subjects once a day
2- solve test papers for gs atleast 100 question a day
3- there must be some thing that u may have left or have not prepared that well like ancient history culture, world geo give time to these topics
    4- study atlas
5-most important of all make 10 page note for every subject for revising before 2 -3 hours of prelims exam..u dont wanna carry 6 to 7 notebooks to exam centre right!

Dont get overwhelmed by the magnitude of hours other people are spending and stay positive
Follow these till 23 august and u would have done good job sir best of luck nd dont get overhelmed by
  • It's called worry.

Everyday schedule worry breaks, morning and evening. Sit, worry in that time and rest of the time, do your thing.

  • U Peaked at the wrong time i guess
I dont feel like studying too .... yet i cant remember the time when i ever peaked .... i have been more like crawling along :P

I tried studying 12-14 hrs a day like some ppl do ... the max i managed was 10 ... and the next day i studied like 5 hrs ..... i have figured out that my brain just gives up after 7 - 8 hrs .... i simply cant absorb anything after that ... so just do what you possibly can .... and relax ......
