- is a more holistic plan of the Women & Child Development Ministry - concerns both jachcha & bachcha = mother & child. ; as the name of Ministry suggests - Matritva = Mother's ; Sahyog = Contribution, help - How do you help a mother? - by providing her compensation (help) for wage loss due to childbirth (not just during pregnancy, but until child is of some years where mother has to still look after the child) - it seeks to do so by
-( not given to those women who get paid maternity leave i.e, working women) -benefits available for first two live births - ( think - wont it be misused to get money in villages - the entire two-child policy will fail then ) -So the mata has the money. Now what? - Tell her how to spend the money on a) Nutritious food b) Child care c)Inform about various vaccines.
