Geography optional Is very easy subject to understand. You can answer most of questions of Paper II now. If you are confident that you can give 5-6 hrs of self daily, you can cover 90% syllabus of geo optional in next 3 months by yourself. It will also boost your prelims preparation as geography has good weightage in mains and prelims.
Core of Geo optional syllabus revolve around following books :
1. Indian Geogrpahy - D R khullar
2. Physical Geography - Savinder singh
3. Human geogrpahy - ( Models in Geogrpahy by Majid hussain)
Just stick to these books and NCERT. Once you finish reading these books once, Let me know i will share few more concise notes of things not covered in here.
Additionally, keep an eye on secure 2016 question of insights they also share good geography related question.
