Reg EVM question of gs 2, it's not specific to EVM machines alone. In the light of evm controversy, what are the challenges faced by eci. This meant evm machines thing plus other challenges as well like criminalization of politics, political illegal funding etc
I think ..in light of above, means evm cntroversy main chunk,u can add some other points as passing ref but major chunk of the answer to be devoted to the said issue only..Q did nt ask for electoral reforms..my understanding

I admire him a lot as he speaks from his heart and thrashes pseudo secular brigade like anything..
do you mean you'd admire anyone who speaks from heart and bashes secular brigade?
The beauty of UPSC is that even bhakts from IT cell can appear for the exam
Well its not true. But it seems marxist aptards with fake sense of intellectualism & who can make gross mistake of spitting their anti- right ideologies by referring to RSS in GS answers do appear in UPSC..this is the beauty of UPSC.
There's a reason why you will eat up even your 6th attempt as a person who failed. Take bets?
Relax buddy, it's not cool!?
Let it not be. Don't give a rats ass. The people who say RSS did not have a hand in communalism, and that such a statement is anti right, should rather study history first up.
The problem is very simple. These idiots can say whatever they want and chest thump, given that's the thing expected of them. People like ongc director mr patra. I know u will say who listen to him, but literate people (not educated, 10 pass or 12 pass) living in slums do listen to his vitriol and get their mind poisoned. I have seen it. Same happens in case of TMC, anubrata et al...
It's important that we call a spade a spade. Trumpism prevails in USA because it's not the educated silicon valley, but the jobless and literate rust belt people who give him audience and believe indians ate their jobs
Usko bhi waha ka media challenge krta hai hamare media godi mein ja bhaitha h kehta ki saahab roz 18 ghante kaam krte h. Chu..... bana k rakha h apun candidate bhi g....d ka zor lga k jyada se jyada 1 mahine tak 12 -13 ghante padh sakte h aur uske baad break milti h to koi na uthaye bas yehi ichaa hoti h aur yahan 18 ghante pichhhle 4.5 saal se roz kaam chal raha h aur wo bhi bina chhutti liye
Marketing hai sab. And everybody knows this but they do not say it.
Bhai you dont know this propaganda is very successful. Look how it has reduced the reputation of RaGa and kejriwal to jokers. Koi fact checking krta nhi aur bahut sare log fence sitters h they are very vulnerable to this bs. Jo satta par virajman ho gya wohi bhagwan h. Remember upa era when everyday 2g cwg jijaji etc always debates arnd them and funny part ek bhi nhi pakda gya. Do we see such criticism 2day half of the time during demonetization we were being convinced how good it is Remember the headlines Ambani ne ki tareef... America ne ki tareef.... Mahindra ne ki tareef.... Line me kaun lga me u and bakar family/faculty
there was a point of time when I myself was a blind believer of this propaganda...bhai bachpan me jab politics ke baare me kbhi kuch pta bhi nhi tha tb bhi Gandhi or Nehru and congress ko gaaliya deta tha or Bhagat singh ki puja krta tha, even tough I didn't know anything about any of these personlities...UP me khaskar inka propaganda bhut deep ingrained hai logo ki dimaag me
To kya kare election jeetne ke liye bataye mahashay. You don't know hoe election system is set up structurally in India. This is more of a result of that. When in 2004 Atalji tried to win on the plank of development, he lost so BJP had to revert back to Hindutva. BJP did not anticipate Modi's huge win on the plank oh Hindutva. From there it went downhill leading to Yogi as CM which led to BJP winning nearly 3/4 total seats!! in a state with highest SC population, and a strong Muslim and yadav base. So the monster is the average Indian man rather than BJP. BJP is the reflection, indian public is the devil. Hope u got some sense from your idealism
dont be absurd. I didnt name bjp or any group. Gandhi ke dusman agar tumhe lgta hai bs bjp wale hai toh tum ignorant ho, Gandhi, nehru ki burai sc/st wale bhi bhut krte hai...yha ye prachalit hai ki Gandhi gay tha , bacchiyon ka rape krta tha blah blah uski baat chl rhi...isse failane wale kon hai uske baare me mujhe nhi pta , i'm just talking about the discourses and subliminal power of discourses that are circulating in the society and that shape public choices.
Discourses and their power is something natural in humans with such extensive cognitive ability. This is what is praised as charisma i believe. Naya kya bola tumne. Aur Gandhi Ko Quote karke abhi bhi vote dete kisi ko nahi dekha
nya mene kya bola? tumhe kya lgta hai yha me intellectual bnke nye nye satya ka nirmaan krne aata hu . or chlo maan bhi le agr nya nhi bola toh does it matter. tum toh bhut bde pujari lg rhe ho tumhare granth toh hazaro saal phle likhe gye the, fir kyu maante ho unko , fir kyu log pdte hai in grantho ko?? just for the sake of lulz?
Evolution ne dimag diya hai mujhe, kisi ke comment, granth ya discourse padhkar orgasm nahi leta hun mai. Reality mai jikar aam khata hun, amrit nahi dhundta. Aap apna sukh dhundo bhai mujhe chod do

Add to it no contempt so gives chances to opposition to cry foul
Ye national pride ke prateek hain hamaare..gala toh theek hai na inka?kaafi bolana padta hai na isliye
I admire him a lot as he speaks from his heart and thrashes pseudo secular brigade like anything..
do you mean you'd admire anyone who speaks from heart and bashes secular brigade?
Please be corrected, i was referring to *pseudo secular brigade*. Secularism is hostage to neferious people in this country..but its changing for good.
Secularism is the state celebrating the festival of Diwali in Ayodhya. That is a good change!
Yes..and also renaming the places with Muslim heritage ,also openly Ministers vowing for ram temple, and also condemning sc for delaying ayodhya case, and also protecting murderer s for killing innocent s in the name of cow and also letting free the accused of communal riots .all are showing growth and progress towards secularism I guess!
Also garlanding those who lynched is a very good progress towards secularism.
Majak ban Gaya ha secularism is desh ma..I personally think it's high time that we amend the Constitution and adopt the French model of secularism..I there would be negative issues but I think net result will be overwhelmingly positive..
Don't you think your statement reeks of elitism. Not everything is to be changed. There are vices in democracies and some very deep. There is a natural way of ordering of things. Indian destiny too would happen that way. Give it some time. If you are becoming impatient, it is high time you start believing in rebirth to see ur dreams fulfill naturally
Bhai u r status quoist ..the organ that is irritating u,u should be ready to remove it immediately u cannot wait for the process of evolution to take millions of years to remove it,,,no democracy is complete or absolutely good,,tweaking is required wherever is necessary..its not elitism...
Yes I am status quoist in the sense that I realise how difficult it is for humans to even organise as a family let alone a huge civilisation. Humans are very difficult creatures to manage and in that sense religion and other dogma will continue to play a major role and moreover in highly diverse societies like India it is difficult to do what you want. I believe in enjoying currently knowing that a cosmic element in my progeny will live on to see better times. Sirf ye kar sakte hai nahi to life bahut frustrated lagegi
sorry i cannot wait for that auspicious moment when my progeny sees it..injustice in the name of religion cannot be tolerated..and it has to stop right now...
Similarly secularism if not imposed democratically doesn't survive, chahe vo Lord Ram hi kyu na kahe. Saara injustice ka root religion kehna will be intellectual dishonesty, a deeper analysis into human nature and how humans organise themselves should be seen
I have never said all the injustices are rooted in religion but flawed policy towards religion is undoubtedly a mojor reason..And the present form of secularism was not democratically achieved..The constitution assembly felt that the present model would work..but simply is not working..u can not keep carry on a policy or attitude which has overwhelmingly has bad repercussions..Democratic forces in India are very slow as people are Socio-educationally backward which feeds the every ills of Socio-political landscape and that flawed landscape also feeds the human psyche further delaying the positive forces of Change..It is wrong to assume every radical change is necessarily undemocratic...If we content ourselves with present state of affairs and think in rebirth bitterment happens then no change is possible,,Progress of society is not absolute ,it is a relative term..Already our society is backward than many other asian countris that got independence at same time and wat behind the Western civilzations...Its time to accelerate and not wait for the future dynamics..its only winners who shape their destiny beforehand...
You cannot compare relatively homogeneous Asian societies with India. India mai jab tak religion ka utility hai tab tak vo yahi rahega even when somebody isn't forcing it. Agar abhi Hindu nahi to kal Christianity mai rahega. So religious doctrine ka elimination to ho hi nahi sakta. Aur rebirth vala to joke tha mera kyunki philo optional ha aapka isliye Maar diya kyunki aise hi chutiya banaye hai priest aajtak. On a serious note religion plays a binding role amongst diverse communities. And since Indian democracy is becoming increasingly patronage based, sorry to break it to you but I believe religion's role will increase as that is a vote plank in a democracy which nobody will abandon. Sorry but this is the truth. Janeudhari rahul baba kar rahe aaj to get a slice of the hindutva discourse so that it translates into vote. If he doesn't do that somebody else will. Remember Yogi floated a party namely Hindu Yuva Vahini before UP election to coax BJP to make him CM. So endresult is mandir vahi banega is the golden apple of the day
The problem with us that invariably we assume in every case that India is a very special country and different from others..its not true..actually the fact is most of the countries in Asia and EU countries like France,Spain have considerable ethnic and religious diversities..Claiming exceptionality for the justification of inability to implement correct policy and remain poor and under develpoed, does not stand.A country with largest number of poor population can not claim to have such moral and ethical and civilizational high ground that we often project to others claiming exceptionality,It is the bitter truth that we are a very ordinary country... And i never asked for the elimination of religious doctrine..My only demand is complete and total separation of state from the matters of religion that are being Practiced mostly in France ...It will help to clean our present democratic polity..
Spain actually has a basque province and madrid catalonia situation, even the basque demand independence. So I see u have a point here
yes..the false notion of exceptional heterogeneity has created a kind of policy paralysis where any radical positive changes are nipped in the bud claiming it may fracture the societal fabric,,it manifests only our insecurity...When Ata turk mustafa kamal pasha introduced radical reforms in turkey those were unimaginable in the islamic world,,but those were highly successful..now compare turkey with other Islamic Country...Its way ahead...change is natural but when its slow and outcome is uncertain,we cannot wait...
But Turkey is mostly homogeneous, no? Save for Kurdish minority?
Couldn't add a reply so separate comment Regarding French model of secularism, religion in modern times until now hasn't occupied mainstream discourse in France, so I am already sceptical of its relevance here. Even that is under attack by orthodox Algerian and Muslim immigrants. And the notion of Secularism in India is already inbuilt in our culture which is derived from Hinduism. So saying ki secularism is under threat is valid only till a point and is reduced to q question of de jure and de facto. Point is an example of my mother who keeps Navratri fast, at the end of the ninth day where young girls are pampered with foods and gifts and worshipped, there have been many instances where the little girls have been from Muslims and Christian background. Now is it possible under any other religion which is not intensely tolerant and naturally its adherents too will be tolerant, There will be outliers but that dont make the group? And we Indians saying western secularism is best, is ignorance or intellectual dishonesty at best and intellectual serfdom at worst. The west has hardly earned the right to be called secular ,These idiots are still fighting over Jerusalem and are so much filled with hatred for each other that it has indirectly led to World Wars(See if Jews wouldn't have been hated as much,Hitler wouldn't have risen to power) and still shootings happen in USA ,recently a jewish synagogue was attacked and nearly 10 people were killed and these instances are fairly regular.Does this happen in India? The answer is plain No.So western secularism is a joke and irrelevant to India.
A specific comment on Ram Mandir Issue: the indian public is so tolerant that people claim that building hospital would be a better solution. Can a community get away by demolishing the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul or the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem?the answer is still No.The Indian public is extremely tolerant in day to day activities that it took a political party of the kinds of BJP to rake ram mandir issue after hundreds of years and continues to be nervous about it because it too knows that it has the capacity of fizzling out too. Regarding European diversity eg;Spain,France etc,it is just laughable.Bihar has more diversity than these two states combined. These Europeans have more or less same language and religious roots, yet they fight like barbarians. Will these barbarians in suits teach us .Maaf kardo mujhe, aaplog ka logic mahan hai, rant over.Jao ram mandir banao aur punya kamao.
