  • Rupee gir rha h one reason hindu asserted is political uncertainty in the wake of upcoming elections' how politics can affect it?
I have some rough ideas but not too clear.
Politics se policy uncertainity rehti hai..in d wake of downsliding approval ratings fr present govt. ....so dat means investors whether in nature of FPI,FDI r wary of investing.
Then atleast fr an yr b4 elections...populist measures r taken in full swing....underming sound economic principles like loan waiver, higher msp, free goodies...which hurt basic economic estimates life fiscal deficit, revenue deficit etc. Internatinal credit rating agencies take note of this according investors make decisions. AND THUS rupee , apart from other domestic n global factors is also affected by investor confidence

    Zyada lamba ho hya

Uncertainty in politics leads to frequent policy compromise in order to gain stability. Investors prefer countries with stable policies to prepare a long term plan of investment with less risk. Strong government leads to stable policies and provides ease of preparation and execution of such plan. Absence of which will trigger outflow of money and selling of equity and bonds.
