If you see a candidate with good marks in any subject, don't rush to him asking his strategy. No one knows what clicked and what not. UPSC's marking has no logical interpretation at all.
Hey guys, Last year- completely screwed time management in paper 1, got just 109 as expected, and also left 2 questions in paper 2 and got decent 131, but this time, I performed my level best, completed paper with writing complete answers(without scribling) anything , with diagrams, flowcharts, examples, and everything- and this time, just Got 106 in pub ad paper 1, In paper 2, I got 142(decent), but totally confused regarding paper 1, anyone else butchered in paper 1??? and please experienced candidates, can u tell what can be the reason for such a low score...
118 in paper 1 and 132 in paper 2 .... Inspite of leaving three 15 marks questions in paper 2 got this mark... Paper 1 too i think is decent for what i wrote.... Last time got 182 total I guess upsc is expecting simple writing with lot of examples I used political examples in paper 2 with very simple writing which many people criticised....i feel veteran students write complex stuff hence their marks go down....hope to do better this year

Dont know what happened....cant understand what to do next..
Should i stick with it or change optional

2017- 142+139 =281 ! (Satisfied but still useless)

Paper I went very bad because of health reasons.. Had high fever and upset tummy that day.
Last year 148 in p1
But I don't think I can cross 290 in this optional at all.
What's the highest so far, any idea?
