Eco survey talk about Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic), and says
***Deviating from the earlier practice, this year the government has adopted a policy of differential prices to encourage sale of older stock first. The government is consciously keeping the reserve price above MSP, but reasonably below the acquisition cost or economic cost of wheat, so that the buyers remain attracted to purchase of wheat from the mandis during the harvest season and the market remains competitive. At the same time the market price in the lean season does not increase much and inflation remains under check. but
I believe MSP of wheat is already much higher and any price after MSP at any stage will be lower than MSP (coz subsidy will come in to the picture) but eco survey talks abt reserve price i.e higher than MSP...???
again what does weighted price mean, old stock price will be lower than new harvested...still who will go for old. जब थोड़े extra पैसों से में नया मिले तो वो ये क्यूँ ले, वो न ले
