How much salary an IAS recruit will get after 7th Pay commission?

Can anyone tell what is present salary and how to calculate new salary at starting point for IAS/IPS/IRS during training(if they get paid) and after first posting as SDM/ASP.
Also tell if all Class A officers get same salary or is there difference between pay of IAS and other services such as IRTS?

7 th pay commission recommendations are not declared so difficult to predict. All class 1 posts receive same salary.

they have been declared I think.

Here is a calculator I found on how to calculate salary under 7th pay bands. But, I'm unable to use it.

Bhai that's an estimation based on prediction of those website makers. They have considered multiplication factor based on how salaries changed during previous commissions. Meetings of 7th pay are still going on.

  • Yup, its nt declared yet bt Class A service starts with this band
    3 15600-39100 5400
    Here projected......40800-92500 21800
  • so how much finally it becomes in hand .. I'm unable to understand this band thing and what is this Grade Pay?

Hope is the only bee, that makes honey without flowers.
  • Basic = 40800+21800 = 62600
Dearness Allowance is 100% of Basic I think, add to that as well.. Along with some other 3-4 allowances
  • Dearness Allowance becomes 0%, when this pay commission recommendations are accepted. So, I think we will get around 60,000-65,000 in hand after revision of pay scales.

"A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work."
  • as per g connect he will get around 89k.. a fresh gr1 officer.. now he receives around 52k
  • Hi,
Based on proposed pay structure, one in current 5400 GP i.e. grade pay of joining class 1 office, one will get:-
    Basic:-60,000/-(approx)
DA- 12000/-(assuming DA=20% by the time pay commission is implemented)
    HRA- 12000/-(assuming 20%)
    TA- 5000/-(currently 3300)
    ************************************
    GRoss total-89,000/-
    ************************************
HRA and TA might also not available as one will be staying in Gov accomodation and using Govt vehicle
Around 12,000 deduction as Income tax and NPS contribution
Hence, in hand salary will be around 60-65k
Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions – Why am I doing it, What the results might be and Will I be successful. Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead.
  • Working in administration for some time, so this should be initial in-hand salary*

    Basic Pay 40800 + 21800 Grade Pay
    So basic- 40800 + 21800 = 62600

    DA will be reverted to 25% (not zero as I'm told) so 0.25 * 62600 = 15650
    HRA in X category city (Metro cities) 30% of basic--> 0.30* 62800 = 18780
(not available if using govt quarters)
    TA (probable) 6400
    + DA on TA = 0.25 * 6400 = 1600

So Gross salary = 10530 Rs (with HRA)
    86250 (without HRA)

    Now deductions =
    NPS = 10% of Basic = 6260
Tax deduction = around 9400 (on present calculations)

    So net will be 86250 - (6260+9400) = 70590 Rs per month

    *according to Gconnect data

So rest assured you, an entry level officer will have comparable salary to IT guy with 5-7 years experience. Software engineers wont lose out much I suppose (if you make it) :)
  • the grade pay wont be this large. and second thing is that this time some % of basic salary are going to add as cafeteria allowances(similar to 47% allowances in maharatna psu) so gross salary can cross 1lac too.
