Can A branch manager seize my opportunity to appear in CSE

Hi everyone,
I am a banker and my branch manager has grudges on me. He would voluntarily keep me engaged till night.
In my batch they never asked for security money. Now after 2 years he is forcing me to get one FD of 30k done in my name even though it wasn't there in provision during joining.
I want to know what max can my BM do if I become rebellious and leave office after my assigned work as per RBI and bessel Norm.
Can he announce me irresponsible and undisciplined and hence declare me unfit for govt. Exam?
Can he create problem at the time of verification after one gets selected??
Or what is the maximum extent he can harm me if I deny to a abide by his decteting orders?
Any Senior banker's help is highly appreciated.
Tia

    1. First answer. No. Unless he initiates disciplinary action against u. For ehich he needs to show u commiting some act of treason. Which am sure u won't. Can he get u transferred to the worst branch in ur circle. Yes. He can

    2. No. U can write to circle, where the HR dept passes the NOC. So unless u get the HR dept against u, (even in which case u can mail the HO) u won't have problems

    3. He can get u transferred to lawngtlai, and beyond lawngtlai, sadly the borders of india end..
He can damage your appraisal report

Not a senior banker. But used to work in circle office, in a psb
  • If anyone does C (like forcing 30k FD) just record it, and post it with a written mail to the HO, and CO.

If u got contacts in CO, call him/her and force case for a transfer to nearby branch

Dude, I think you need to contact your HR in case of any greivances...moreover if you are not violating any rules then I don't think he could do much except shouting on you .

Exam related permissions aapko regional/zonal office se Leni Hoti Hain, BM bas letter forward karte hain.
Baaki woh aapka appraisal bigaad skta hai (jise challenge kar skte ho aap), aur kuch nahi.

Paper pe strong rahiye, kuch nahi hota,
Resist karna hi hota hai, agar kuch galat kare koi.

I faced similar situation 3 years back while working in an MNC. As a GET i was assigned specialist job of engineering design which i hated to the core...all this initiated my UPSC journey while being at the job. Partly due to my previous managers attitude ( a true poker face and having slowest processing speed among humans) and partly due to my own blunders ( like going away after 9 hours while they expected me for 10-12 , flaws in drawings due to less focus)...my GET period was extended by 6 months and later i was releived off my job as a design engineer while being free to choose other jobs within the company.

All above humiliation ended in a positive note when i was assigned a generalist job related to management which opened me for a resouding exposure to people from all across the world greatly honning my personality and soft skills.

Moral of above story- 1. Be professional and avoid childish behaviour like open conflict, misbehaviour
    2. Cite personal reasons for going early (fabricate something but never confront those seniour to you)
    3. Be humble and try to get support from him against above cited reasons.
    4. Be very very very very confident in your professional dealings. We humans have psychological leaning towards dominating others who appear weak..so dont be on receiving side.
    5. Do your job at hand in bestest possible way...at the end..the task and deadlines you meet saves you and nothing else. This will boost your confidence and help you take on any adversary within professional circle.

    Amen.
  • @soulful thanks buddy.

A lot of BMs are quite helpful and supportive , i know BMs who would take on work of PO/clerk just so that they can work hard for exams and even give them unofficial leaves to study
