    Hello,

I read almost all your comments on the blog. In fact, I sometimes write for you.

When you say do not quit, do you want to tell people to just keep writing the exam, or do you intend to tell people to keep studying harder for the exam.

Because , I end up meeting people who come up to me and tell me - I have not quit - by which they usually mean they are filling up the form annually , but have actually quit studying.

It will be very helpful, if you could share any extra work that you put in that helped you clear in your fifth attempt.

At ForumIAS, I am often pained to see that people - interpret "don't quit" as "dont study, but keep filling up the form"

@krsanthosh16195 If you have been seeing failure of late, can you share some numbers on how many hours your study, do you read the newspaper daily, what was your rank on any test series you write for the exam, and what are your strong or weak areas ?

That will help other people really help you.

Hello! I remember sending you a detailed note on PO prep. Can you tell what went wrong? Did you practice well enough before the exam?

Bank exams don't need a lot of thinking, but a lot of practice which most people ignore thinking that upsc prep subsumes all other exams' prep.

Exactly ; in todays cut throat competition you’ll have to put specialized effort for every exam; thats why instead of filling form of any XYZ exam zero in on few exams and give them after due preparation.
  • @nandhini I can't figure out what went wrong!
I attempted 10 mock tests from oliveboard with average score of 47.
Already I missed SBI JA prelims by 0.25 mark.
So this is scattering for me.

It requires dedicated preparation to clear bank exams. They are asking new pattern questions nowadays. So understanding of basics + little advanced level preparation + continuous practice...in addition clear cut strategy to target questions which will be easier to attempt thereby increase your score... Two to three months investment is needed for all these. And of course your past experience of bank exams helps to strategise.

    UPSC IAS

So this is scattering for me.

    1. Mock scores are usually higher than actual scores in exam.
    2. If you are missing the cutoff by a very small margin then you need to work on speed and accuracy. Are the marks of the pre added for selection or is it qualifying?
Anyways as the second stage in these exams tends to be of a pattern similar to the pre you need to identify which of the 2 - speed or accuracy is your issue? That is something you need to identify

  • Cannot clear even IBPS Clerk Prelims.

as you have honestly said you have failed every time... ok... make sure you fail one more time. but this time you fail your self in breaking your determination, and zeal to succeed, and to prove your worth ...!! right ???

but make sure that this is last failure of your this phase of life. And to make this a surity, be true in yourself. And ask for help at right place.

i have seen, if you are true in asking help and truly using that help for somthing good... then, saari kayanaat shajish karne lagti hai, aapke mehanat ko kamiyabi me tabdiil karne ke liye.

1st, Do one promise to your self, that you will be 100% true to yourself in everything.produce your naked-self, to yourself. no facade, what so ever, anymore.

And fourm do is one of the right place to ask for a true help.
