  • Hi..

    I have some doubts..

    14. Which among the following pairs is/are incorrectly matched?
    1. Amylase: Breakdown starch
    2. Pepsin: Breaking down of emulsified fats

Select the correct answer using the codes given below:
    a) 1 and 2 only
    b) 2 and 3 only
    c) 1 and 3 only
    d) 1, 2 and 3

Amylase is responsible for breakdown of starch. But the correct answer given is D.

    24. Consider the following statements regarding the Nehru Report

provinces where muslims were in majority.
    2. It recommended complete dissociation of state from religion.
    3. It recommended the formation of linguistic provinces.
    4. To gather the support of Muslims, it recommended separation of Sindh from Bombay on an immediate
    basis.
Which of the statement(s) give above is/are correct?
    a) 1, 2 and 4 only
    b) 1, 2 and 3 only
    c) 2 and 3 only
    d) 1, 2, 3 and 4

Nehru Report rejected seperate electorates and instead recommended reservation of seats at centre and
provinces where muslims were in minority.
So statement 1 is wrong. But correct answer given is B.

    29. Geo-thermal energy is cost effective reliable sustainable and environment friendly. Which among the
following is/are correct about geothermal energy.
    1. It originates from radioactive decay of materials.

Select the correct answer using the codes given below:
    a) 1 only
    b) 2 only
    c) Both 1 and 2
    d) Neither 1 nor 2

According to this source, Geothermal hot spots occur at tectonic plate boundaries or at places where the crust is thin enough to let the heat through.
So its not limited to only tectonic plate boundaries.

    73. Which of the following reasons led to the growth of communalism?
    1. Socio-economic backwardness
