How to prepare GA (General Awareness) for non-UPSC exams?

edited April 2016 in Banking
I am a UPSC Aspirant.I also appear for side by exams (NABARD,IBPS , RBI etc.)
Can anyone briefly detail how to prepare for the general awareness section?
What I have gathered is that people memorise capsules but that strategem has proven unsuccessful for me so far!
Anyone tip/link/blog /personal advice is extremely welcome .
