Gandhi didnt start the fast on kashmir issue . he didnt oppose it , Gandhi’s insistence that Hindu and Sikh refugees should be sent back to Pakistan and Muslims who had left India be brought back is also issue here
    To you, I'm an atheist
To God, I'm the loyal opposition
  • Gandhiji believed we should keep our slates clean, even though the opponent is wrong as two wrongs does not make a right, remember Gandhiji modus operandi was that we should not leave our values, even if someone attacks on one cheek we should place our other cheek in front of the attacker but should not attack the attacker. By asking for Pakistan to be paid Gandhiji just wanted to make sure what is right fully their's should be given to them. He was impartial towards his enemy also. We should condemn the wrong deeds of the person but not the person himself.

  • Truth and non-violence work splendidly at individual level.
For a nation state, however, these values result in adverse outcomes more often than not.

all individuals make a state baccha.
  • The essence of these principles lies in the fact that no sane person in today's world is going to dispute the utility of truth and non violence in conduct of individual or state business... US, "the champion of democracy", got its lessons in Vietnam war and war on terror, British puppets in South Africa hence abolition of apartheid, King's civil right movement and of course Gandhi... Violence may be useful in short term gains but indeed history shows us, as it always does, the triumph of truth and non violence over.....................
  • it was a foolish act.. Pak could have used the money to immediately acquire war weapons
