What does ex debito justitiae means! Why this was rejected to Ashiq Hussain Faktoo?

    it means as a matter of right !
    he was awarded life term and not death sentence . this doctrine can override the procedures of the court provided the matter falls within the guidelines framed for it . it has been elaborated in Rupa Ashok Hurra V/S Ashok Hurra case in which the court held that open court hearing can be done only if the punishment is for the death and there is prima facie evidence of gross injustice . Frantic calls of injustice won't do :)

    But I could not understand what injustice was done to him. I mean on what grounds he is asking for ex debito justitiae.
