tackling research papers in the hindu

edited February 2014 in Miscellaneous
Hi
For gs 3 ( paper 4) ,how we should approach the research papers which are published in reputed journals , in science tech section of the hindu.
Note them all or screen them with some criteria or just one's liking or intuition that it might b important?
Please give your opinion.
First attempt in 2014 - couldn't clear prelims, second to be in 2018
Optional - medical sciences

  • No need of checking research papers of reputed journals for science & tech. Otherwise it will be so cumbersome that you'll end up doing redundant work and won't be able to give time to other more important topics. Going by the trend, specially this year's questions on Science and Tech, UPSC would always go with some general topics. For example, 3d printers, which was asked this year was so much in news. You can, however, screen Hindu's science and tech if you find anything relevant
