trade facilitation agreement

edited December 2013 in Current Affairs
will the trade facilitation agreement now put an end to multi and bilateralism or is it just that it brings all stakeholders under a single framework and bilateral agreements can still be pursued?will all bilateral agreements be void and null now?

Comments

  • i dont think bilateral agreements can be dispensed with as they are soverign rights of nations concerned and also a key element in a nations foreign policy.
  • so the conclusion is the trade facilitation agreement is for a common platform for member nations and facilitate fair and standardize methods of trading on the world fora.
  • yeah essentially it is aimed at avoiding polarization of world trade like it happened during the cold war era and make it more globally integrated. At least thats what i figured out :).
