Traffic police and tow operator corruption

edited February 8 in Miscellaneous
My bike was towed. The official fine for it in Pune is 300 rupees. But the tow operator and traffic constable said the official fine is 1050. And they even showed me a fake fine list.
And then asked for a bribe for 500. I had all the papers.
They even made me wait for like 30 mins when I said I wanted to pay the official fine as according to them their card swiping was not working. I finely paid a bribe of 300 to them. As I had to go somewhere else.

Is there a quick and easy way to teach these corrupt cockroaches a lesson?

  • Remain adamant about not paying until their swiping machine is working.

Use a hidden camera and expose them to their Boss, Journalist, local politician, NGO, et al.

Clear this exam and get into IPS.

If he got into IPS with an agenda to wipe out this exorbitant system well... It'd take only a year or two to turn the zeal down.
Frequent transfers and sickening nature of comrades will continue to grow. When you shake up the tree dharti hilti h

Well even an IPS has his/her cut. The lower officials don't pocket it all. They most of it above.
