    @soumiyan
There r many people who didn't give attempt in 2011 in fear of losing the last attempt(who have exhausted their three attempts till 2010 ..as total attempt was four earlier ) ...due to some reason they were not able to give in 2012-2015 ..
They gave in 2016 ..I think u should also consider asking attempts for all whether they attempt in 2012-15 time or not
    Baaki depend on u
  • Yaar mera mp toh shatrughan Sinha Hai Jo yahan election k BHI time shayad hi aaya ho. It's impossible to catch him, unless we can email this sheet to his office asking for a signature n send it back to us through email. Is that possible, can that be done???

Secondly, I would like to bring forward to ur notice certain problems:

    1. It isn't clear wether u r asking for an attempt exclusively for those people who exhausted their attempts between 2012-14. Or r u asking for those who wasted attempts between these years but also wrote one or all between 15-17. I m one of those people. If u r asking exclusively only for exhausters between 2012-14 then not many people are going to participate.

    2. There isnt clarity on how many attempts are being asked for n for which year. The Oscar Fernandes Sheet uses the word "attempts", Varun gandhis sheet says "attempt".

There are many people on forum who secretly keep an eye on threads related to extra attempts but don't speak anything becoz of constant shaming. For higher participation, u may wanna clarify these things.

  • Can someone help clarify the ambiguity. One letter says, 2011/12-14; the other, 2011-2015. Are 2015 people also being included, considering the changed pattern was notified only 3 months before prelims and many people had already invested substantial time into CSAT till then. This included coaching, mocks, incessant practice at the cost of optional and other subjects till May 2015.
  • CSAT VICTIMS - everyone should get
The compensatory attempt. This is the motto of our campaign.
So, i request to our friends
please do Participate in the Signature Campaign actively in your respective States and Constituencies and lend a helping hand for the Cause as well to show Our Strength to the Hon'ble Members of Parliament.
  • Ok. Request you guys to keep the period as 2011-15 in subsequent letters/ signature campaigns, for uniformity and larger footfall / outreach! //As I said, one letter says 2011-14, the other, 2011-15 !
A lot of us spent majority of our time preparing for CSAT, till about May 2015 (this is when CSAT was declared qualifying). We could have instead, devoted that time to optional/GS. Atleast people like me spent months preparing for CSAT, only to have that attempt as a qualifying paper in the end :) and regretting terribly for not having prepared adequately for Mains.
  • Nonetheless, really hope all deserving people succeed in their endeavours in life :) Keep up the good work, people. Very encouraging to see these efforts. All the very best to everybody.
  • A petition on Change.org should also be started addressing to PM as well as Jitendra Singh...If such petition has already been started, Kindly post the link here... Thanks..
When you delve really deep, you come out on top..!!
  • THere are some five six splinter groups right now working for attempts separately

  • Friends,
Due to the efforts of Raghav and Anuragender Nigam among others, we are at the peak of this movement.

Gautam Singh and his group has already covered 90% of the coaching institutes and we must have seen the videos shared here.

Baswan Committee's Report is being considered by the government these days. If optional is being removed then as they have already set up a precedent by giving attempt in 2014, they will have to do it again. And here lies an opportunity for us. With our efforts we can highlight our issue again for the consideration of the government.

As you must be aware of our lobbying efforts with Varun Gandhi, we have been given a task to get the signatures of as many MPs as possible in the shortest possible time.

This is next to impossible for us to do it alone. Hence we are inviting you to come to our meeting tomorrow at 6pm at Batra Cinema, near STATUE, to discuss how it can be done.

I will again repeat 'there is absolutely no attempt at present and we are already at our limit to contribute further in this movement'. So please join us from 14 dec to get the signatures of the MPs.

There are both boys and girls in our group. For any query you can contact Raghav or Anuragender.

    Regards
    CSE Justice team

    MEETING: 13 Dec, Wednesday

Agenda: signatures of MPs and the use of this parliamentary session

    VENUE: STATUE, Batra Cinema

    TIME: 6pm

    Regards
    CSE - JUSTICE TEAM.
  • CSE-JUSTICE TEAM :

Subject : regarding the signature campaign for the "special discussion" on our issue in the Parliament.

    Friends,
The upcoming parliamentary session, which is starting from 15 December, is a final showdown. It is the last chance to raise our issue in the Lok Sabha. And if this happens then we will be successful in getting an attempt.

So all we need is signatures of 272 hon'ble MPs of Lok Sabha. That is difficult, however not impossible.

The strategy for this is as follows...

If we targeted at North avenue, South avenue, and lodhi estate to reach out the MPs, we can do contact 186 MPs at these places.

    North Avenue 76
    South avenue 91
    Lodhi estate 19
    Total 186

If we constitute three teams having 4 members in each for every aforesaid places, (total 9 teams with 36 members) we can get signatures of at least 100 MPs in two days.

In this crucial time we need participation of all aspirants.

Any single person or 10 person could not do anything substantial.

Each signature can turn into the Admit cards for the CSE 2018.

    Please do participate.

    All are needed.

yes and its planning protests across all state centres, Raman sandhu from Chandigarh is leading it and its different from CSE Justice Team of delhi which is the older group... this is the latest group and sent letters to multiple CMs across states and ministers for the extra attempt in 2018-20..

  • hi friends,

A piece of advice for those who just read the messages in the group and think that there are people in Delhi who are working and will get attempts for them. There is absolutely no attempt till date. We have decided that this session will be our last. So if can contribute in any way come forward. Otherwise you better know the reality.

    Regards

  • Friends,

use this letter to make CM of your respective states whether it is ruled by BJP or Congress or Any other party to write letter on the similar lines.....get it done within 2-3 weeks by giving it atmost priority than to anything else.....as it will reach PM directly and the central government is bound to reply it in written by mentioning the action taken by them.....so friends, fasten your belt everything should happen before 15, January to make Jitendra Singh ji to grant us attempts.....as it will take atleast 20 days to prepare the file for compensatory attempts before it gets notified along with the notification of CSE 2018......

    Please act fast.
    Remaining everything in your hand.

  • Guys, I still remember that one day in January, 2014 when I went to the house of Narayan Swamy ji, the then DoPT Minister around 9:00 P.M his P.A told me that DoPT in its history it was never flooded by the so many reference letter by Cabinet Ministers and Parliamentarians on a particular single issue....he told that it made them to sit a person exclusively to sit in front of the fax machine to collect letters.....but now they have got used to by receiving the letters of Cabinet Ministers and Parliamentarians from past 4 years.....so this time let us give them a surprise, PMO should be flooded by letters of all the CM of 29 States.....you people have less time, forget about anything else, just run go to your home town give petition to your CM, get the letter at any cost.....you have 20 days at max to get it as per my schedule.....we will be meeting Ram Madhav ji by First week of January and Jitendra Singh ji through his reference....expecting to finish our job by making Jitendra Singh ji to announce compensatory attempts by 2nd or 3rd week of January.....it all depends on your hard work and unity.... - From manukumar raje urs experience.

Also do this, try and make sure 100 as cut off for CSAT paper.. lot of C*****e who don't know addition and multiplication are also getting into IAS who are supposed to make EVIDENCE BASED POLICY in a data driven era

If somebody is clearing Mains as well as doing well in Personality test, that person should have certain level of analytical abilities.. In Senior level thats what matters....
When you delve really deep, you come out on top..!!
  • I am CSAT victim too but in the opposite way
Because of passing just 67 marks in P2, Prelim cut-off skyrocketed for last 2 years :pensive:
  • In computer Era and artificial intelligence why someone should know additional and ✖ and other basic mathematics. Decision making require imagination and foresight and not mastery in data analytics

Yup but there is a highly positive correlation between those who are good at maths/English and those who use/understand data analytics and AI.Do you think the rural folks who could not do well in aptitude can be really genius in the administrative science especially in NPM era of globalised world?
  • Why not, I am from rural area and hindi medium, now working in bank dealing with data only but everything is in computerized environment, so not facing any problem. Basic intellect of all people is same, it only matters how and what you read in your course ware. Those who are becoming IAS they have intellect. English and Math can be criteria but not the sole criteria
  • Ur assumption that it's a gen vs esp problem is wrong. It's not.

The problem was that a massive change was introduced which unfairly favoured engg/maths/mba/sc background candidates because they had been accustomed to solve such problems their entire lives. The paper gave an edge to them.

That doesn't mean that rural/arts background ppl can't solve or comprehend those problems. I m a arts background person with a partial rural background. I got 122 in csat in 2013 without even practicing csat ever. 122 would be considered a decent score today. But I didn't clear 2013 pt because cut off was 240 n people with as less as 80 in paper 1 cleared pt because it was incredibly easy for an engg candidate to score 160+ in csat. That went on to show that csat favoured a particular section of candidates.

It's like saying that paper 1 had history, polity, economics, geography, science questions. Somebody who has majored in any of those subjects will be able to easily answer his particular especialisation questions which would be 8-15 in number. Now there is this whole another 200 marks worth of paper which only engg/mba students have majored in.

Don't u think it's unfair to the other candidates who have had other especialisation. How would you feel if instead of csat paper, they introduced a paper which is all medical science, won't u feel it only favours doctors, won't u always be left behind a little no matter how much u study because it was introduced all of a sudden n moreso bcoz it's not what u had in mind all ur life.

Thirdly, at such high administrative posts u don't sit down n draw graphs n statistical tables urself. U r just supposed to infer ur administrative decisions from them. Assuming that just because somebody didn't have a fancy engg/MBA degree wouldn't be able to comprehend or analyse them is a huge disrespect to crores of rural/tribal/SC/ women candidates who just don't have enough resources to pursue these degrees.

Your statement shows u have no understanding of the lived reality of Indian people. People are disprivileged in various looks n corners of the country in ways u can't imagine. N equality of opportunity must be granted to the lowest common denominator, which didn't happen in the csat case.

  • You are correct.CSAT was harsh for people with no engineering background. But I wonder how so many doctors and art background people became IAS in 2011 to 2014 era??
If you failed 2013 pre ,you will be surprised one IIT guwahati guy also failed in same pre despite scoring 90 in GS. There has never been any expert committee report to suggest that CSAT favoured few ppl over other? They failed because they did not work hard/had luck.if u scored 122 in csat ,being from arts why u cud not score 120 in 2013 gs paper, the easiest in the decade?don't blame the govt for your failure.with this attitude you will remain a failure throughout your life.
    @Rasputin .
Now with maths/English I mean the smart chaps who work hard to get success not sulking cow belt students who did never clear pre whether CSAT was there or not.what about those people who never cleared prelims even when subject was there.what about those who continued failing even when csat was made qualifying? No exam can be foolproof and we must accept it is just another job.why should one waste so many good things in life just for writing exam another time?
