Guidance required for Bank officer for Cse preparation

Friends, i know many bank officers must be active on the forum preparing for Cse.
I also started preparation for cse in 2015 , cleared prelims in first attempt. But later that year i joined bank po in a public sector bank. I could not clear 2016 prelims largely beacuse that year paper was heavily tilted towards CA and i was drifted away from regular newspaper reading due to working hours and nature of my job. 2017 i did not appeared.
Now i am a conformed officer in bank and to tell you my working hours i leave home at 8 sharp. Come back at 9-9:30 if lucky. Else 10-11.
Working proffessional who have cleared said that utilize even 10 free minutes in work. Eat your lunch fast and study. Complete your work early and study.
But the thing is we dont have official lunch time. In 10-15 minutes i have to eat and come back. Work is never ending process in bank. Sometimes i do not get time to go to washroom. And when i come back home i am so exhauted that 2-3 hours whatever i read does not get retained.
In this forum itself @Neyawn and many good samaritan have advised againt leaving job keeping in mind the unpredictable nature of UPSC. Even Roman saini sir said that 4 hours is sufficient every day.
But in this environment i am not able to understand how to study. I have 4 attempts still left and 24 at present. My parents are not dependent on me.
Should i leave this bank job?
And if no, can some bank officers please come forward and tell how they are managing time. Beacuse i know condition is same in every bank.
Any bank officer who cleared cse in past present in forum?
Each day level of frustration is increasing.

    Bhai I Am in SBI.
Medical leave lekar exam deta hu.
Mains bhi medical leave par diya h aur ab Mera AGM mujhe join nhi Karne de rha h. Padai k liye na Jaan bachti h aur nahi time. Issliye better h ki Kisi aur job m selection karwakar civil k taiyari karo. Bank m rehte hue selection k bahoot kam chances h.

I rarely see any officer...either they leave preparation after joining banks or shift to other job and than clear cse like poonam dalal earlier she was in sbi po and thereafter IT inspector later she cracked state psc and this year upsc
  • Bhai i worked in a public sector bank for 2 anx a half years; recentlybresigned. It will be very difficult to manage time for studying for cse. I have seen people coming here thinking they will clear with this job. And after few months they gove up reading newspapers only. The job is such that it will keep your body and mind on a continuous move for 8-10 hours. You will struggle everyday and will reach nowhere. The above comment is apt that people give up their dream of cse after coming here. Banking has become very different and difficult in todays time and join it only if you have no further aspirations left in life, beacuse you cannot divorce it later.

so strange that not a single bank employee came out here with his strategy
  • Leave the banking job....That's the only strategy....The above enlightened ones has already shown you the way....I m also absconding from it since Feb.....Left everything on Almighty

Yes brother absolutely correct. No one can guarantee success in cse but with bank job failure in cse is guaranteed. No matter how good you are in time management you wont be able to keep up with anything in life. Leave cse ; you wont get time even to go to hospital if you fall sick.

Each day level of frustration is increasing.

first keep in mind the your age...you are already 24 lets say you resign in january 2018 and full time start preparing for upsc...lets say you clear prelims what is the guarantee you will clear mains..mains 2018 will be in oct/nov by that time you will be 25...now if by any chance you dont clear mains 2018 you will again have to appear for pre 2019 so keep in mind you will be 26 now just think unpredictable nature of upsc with all the pattern changes...

you will again think of getting a job to support yourself..this will again divert your attention from upsc preparation...you may also face anxiety and stress as no job plus no certainity in upsc...this will automatically reduce your confidence and your performance in civil services exam...private sector doesnt hire out of job people...so private jobs no scope..
only scope is for ssc as you had left bank job in january 2018.

so think very carefully and decide...it is always better to have a plan B/backup if the result in civil services goes side ways...just weigh all the options and think of all the consequences before resigning the job...you can always switch over to new jobs which have professional organisations which are time efficient and offer ample time after office hours enough to prepare for UPSC.

Preparing with bank officer job is near impossible. Fortunately I was able to clear Prelims with 15 days preparation because of earlier preparation. But preparing for mains was difficult. I am not even able to read newspaper daily since I joined bank. Only relying on Pre, Mains 365s at the time of exams. But I doubt about clearing this time.
