[OPEN]Current Affairs Revision Classes - August 16th and 17th, New Delhi + Online Classes

Dear Friends,

Thank for the huge campaigning/canvassing for Demo / Free / Trial Class and all that. This thread continues from here

http://discuss.forumias.com/discussion/26851/forumias-current-affairs-revision-classes-from-august-10th-request-classes-in-gurgaon

We will be holding 2 sessions on Current Affairs on August 16th and 17th at 11AM at ForumIAS Offline Center.

First of all, We think that there needs to be some rational explanation behind why we are are holding classes , which can and largely should be covered by self study.

Secondly, the preparation for Mains is quite different from Prelims. We do expect that you do not read things back to back , but prepare at least 30-40 topics , by which we mean - written down topics - from which you expect questions.

The goal should be that if questions come from there, you are able to score much higher marks than average - say 7-8.5 out of 12.5 than other questions.

There is a difference between writing answers of questions that you "know" vs writing answers to questions that you "prepare".

You must score better in the prepared ones. Also, if you have written Mains before, you would already know that "preparing topics" helps.

Ideally, we expected students, including MGP ones to do this in small groups. But in reality, it is not easy to do - especially for people who

1) do not have a peer group
2) are working and do not have as much time
3) who have not covered optional well and are struggling for time.

The CA ( revision ) class is to simply aid in doing this, so that you are able to write some answers and "prepare" those topics - ki agar exam me ye aa gaya to toh ye likhna hai.

Anyway,

You are free to join us on 16th and 17th at 11AM, by registering below, and we promise we will work harder than you do in ensuring that your current affairs coverage is superior to other people.

You can register below and walk in ( And yes, we now have ACs working, that was one BIG concern over not holding open classes )

That would be wonderful. Since I am a working candidate, it will be hard to attend the session. Your review will help in deciding whether to join online classes.
  • is anyone having handouts of forum classes
  • Do we have few working professionals out here interested in holding these current affairs classes early morning say 8-10 or on weekends?
I live in Noida and can't join these classes as per current schedule, but if we have good strength for above timings, then we may have a new batch as per @Newman .
  • @ForumIAS Willyou please tell me when and how online thing is going to work
