  • Well done. UPSC needs to be held accountable for such badly framed answers and their evaluation standards.
  • Iss baar ka prelims dobara conduct karo. Bas. :expressionless: with no ambiguous questions

  • Ek eminent economist is saying such things , that too such a person whose views and suggestions ,the current govt respects and listens.
Youth of the country is wasting their years for such an exam which carries such high amount of ambiguity , at least upsc should bring in objectivity and transparency to the whole process & thus respect country's demographic dividend.

I have mailed such things to several prominent persons since june 22nd. Only bibek sir empathized our cause and replied to me within hours.

OMR scanning must already be going, pata nahi kya hoga.

  • Questions like these spoil all efforts of whole year of preparation. Leading economists of the country who have been trained whole life are not sure. Last year too CEA said this about upsc. There are many ambiguity and subjectivities in many questions this year paper. Leading experts are giving diff ans. It has just become a gamble. Gin ke option B or option C laga do, jubrdsti extra attempt kro and you may be in. Paper 2 majak hai and they want people who can run and head cities, biggest departments of the state etc.
Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

anyways yaha likhe karenge bhi kya, can only quench our anger for a moment.

Koi UPSC ko hi poochlo what is the formal process of registering a grievance with UPSC.

Whoever is in delhi, submit a greivance in hardcopy and receive an acknowledgement.

Baaki jo solution karna hai, they will decide according to their policies.

I asked once in a detailed QnA format through RTI. But their reply was in few words that : under section 8 or something GTFO.

Yes section 8 of RTI is the clause for denying info under different circumstances.

But here, we are not asking any info. We just want to register a grievance. We are not even asking them to solve this issue because that will come under policy matters, we just want them to acknowledge that they have received our grievance. Thats it.

Upsc B) truly shows officer like qualities.. But forgets that excess "अफसरगिरी" can be injurious to examination process and its image

I think in the present year, all 5th and 6th attempters in 95-105 range should be expressly invited to write Mains.. Just imagine how can a person in last attempt waste his life at the hands of UPSC vagaries and whimsical arbitrariness...
  • Haha how naive! Koi image nahi dent ho rhi. Abhi topper ke interview ayenge tv mei toh bahut junta superficially level pe inspire hoke aa jayegi and it has already a tag with itself, 'world's toughest exam', jo nikal le gaya he or she will be demigod/goddess and jo nahi wo cowdung.

This exam is not to select civil service officers.
This exam is to arbitarily filter the maximum and choose whatever is remaining.

Eisa nahi hoga. I can imagine what an aspirant feel. This question alone can spoil or make career of many.

Yeah I understand.. I asked in the RTI various means through which I can register grievances, invigilator mistake during OMR, official helpdesk etc. They really didn't give a damn to that RTI, and replied even after 30 days when prelim2016 was already announced. (my rti was related to my prelims result too!, as invigilator has filled wrong bubble and I asked UPSC to give me official contact etc.. )

Now, what you are asking, I don't think we have any option other than mail to their office holders or that PG portal pgportal.gov.in/

But then again, it is very very optimistic to expect that they will ACKNOWLEDGE or even read our mails.
Imo, Media/politicians only can be effective medium to raise all this transparency issue.

Oh, such a shame. I thought the RTI was for some other reason.
How can they deny information for this. Really disappointed.

PS, Already mailed all office bearers. As usual, no reply.
