Empanelment in IFoS are much better than any other service (Except IAS). It beats even IPS in representation at Secretary, Add. Secretary and Joint Secretary. Refer: 7th Pay commission Report. If I had the choice, I would opt for IFoS.

I Am wondering for Central Secretariat services :o They are recruited by SSC CGL at 4600 grade pay and reach at joint secretary level. Am i missing something ??
Till sometime around 2003 candidates were recruited into CSS at Section Officer(Gp B Gazetted level akin to AFHQ SO presently) via CSE.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.
