Can anyone please outline the structural changes in Indian economy that have happened from 1947 thru 91 till present.

Thanks

  • Imo- structural chng means "moving towards effective governance"..
1947-socialist but not effective govrnance..hence could not compete..in d sense it was licenc raj
    1991-u know the changes already..
1998-concept of mou(gupta committee) started..aftrwhile BIT concept started which not only finished licenc raj but also gave nearly equal footing to pvt sector by giving them protectn and oppertunity to compete govt sectors..disinvestmnt policy(rangarajan committee, ramakrishna committee) started and ppp, bot, boot ,boost like models initiated to divest the management control to pvt sectors..
So its all about moving from social to profit making..because opning a govt company does not mean public devlopmnt..but by profit making chanalizng those profits to poor for bringing thm to developmental main stream shd be d motto
